A Set of 6 Geo IV Scottish Laburnum wood Dining Chairs, 2 carvers, 4 singles, with rope twist backs. Probably made for Major Balmain of Roslin shortly after his return from India in 1824 - [see companion dwarf cabinet for use of laburnum & provenance]
