Description

A rare, Scottish Provincial Silver Sifter Ladle made in Greenock by Thomas Davie and dating from c1820.
Thomas Davie is recorded in Jackson's Silver as working in Greenock c1818 to 1830.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark TD for Thomas Davie alongside the anchor and green oak tree marks for Greenock and letter "C".
The ladle is in excellent condition.
It measures 175mm in length. The weight is 29.1g.
