James W Milliken (Exh. 1887 - 1930). Watercolour artist who lived in Liverpool. Exhibited his work at the Royal Academy Walker Gallery Liverpool (50) and the Royal Cambrian Academy.

Here we have a well executed watercolour landscape entitled “The pool, Lee hall park” I am presuming this is now the nature reserve at Westhoughton, Bolton.
Signed lower right. Good period frame, inscription to the back for Dec 1923

Condition is very good with no foxing, colours appear nice and bright.
