Antique Walnut Prie Dieu or Prayer Chair

This is an antique Prie Dieu or prayer chair with walnut frame. The wood is a beautiful warm colour, both to the legs and turned uprights either side of the back. Brass castors. Highly skilled later vintage needlework to the seat and back. The colours are muted and the finish suits the chair very well. The chair itself dates to circa .1850.

Ideal as a bedroom or side chair to just to dress a room.
