A.D. Bell 1884 – 1966. A.D. Bell was a pseudonym used by the listed British artist Wilfred Knox. His paintings are now well sought after and demand is increasing. Painting of clipper ships are a classic A.D. Bell subject. These have been newly mounted in period oak frames.

Knox used the A.D Bell alias extensively when producing paintings for an art dealer in Birmingham.
Both are signed lower left and dated 1948.

The scenes in these appear to be different times of the day hence the difference in sky colour.
