An exceptional Art Deco English walnut desk of very generous proportions and dating to the 1930's. A high level of craftsmanship and materials used is evident through out. Fabulous shape and styling will so easily integrate with modern and period furnishings. Heavily figured walnut veneers through out with a rich mid tone colouring. Double pedestal with eight drawers total and one central along the top, all running smoothly. Original catalin bakelite handles with chrome accents. Two generously sized end cupboards with open recessed shelf above, ideal for books. The top of the desk has a removal leather covered insert which reveals a recess area and pull out drawer. The desk doesn't come apart it's one whole piece and therefore quite heavy. Fully restored and so comes to you in very good condition.
