Description

For your consideration is this super rare machine age Art Deco clock by Junghans dating to 1936. These clocks really don't come into the market very often so we were delighted to have found this one. The inscription reads: "The Burroughs Staff, for our Manager M. A. G Metcalfe, Christmas 1936, Warsaw, Poland". With some research we think the "The Burroughs" was a hotel - the street and buildings where it once stood, were destroyed during bombing in WW2. Manufactured from brass, chrome plated with a thick tinted beveled glass dial, height is approx 17cm, diameter of glass is 13cm. There is some wear to the chrome, the beveled glass is perfect with no chips or damage. We've had this clock serviced so comes to you in good working order. This clock is a great size for many applications including desk, mantle and table.
