Wonderful Art Deco black grosgrain handbag with a real geometric feel. Dating to the 1930's and in great condition especially considering its age. This bag has an unusual shape being rectangle with angles and "wings." The material used is a black grosgrain and is in excellent condition and free from any damage and is topped off with a Bakelite accent. The frame is made light coloured gold tone metal. The flip up open/close mechanism consists of a apple juice Bakelite bar and a decorative slotted metal accent piece. The combination of the stylised frame and the Deco clasp is a significant part of making this bag stand out from the rest. The interior is spacious and is lined with a black satin material with open slip pockets.
