Extremely stylish piece of jewellery from the house of Jakob Bengel, dating to the 1930's and so advanced for its time in it's design that one could be forgiven for not recognising it as a period piece. One of the leading manufacturers of Art Deco jewellery, the company produced in the 1920's and 1930's very innovative and individual pieces of the time, aesthetically characterised by their unique designs and modernist slant. This bracelet is quite weighty and is made of segmented pieces linked with in chromed links of blue & black enamel accents. The design of the bracelet is referred to as brickwork and more often seen as earrings. Condition is excellent with little to no signs of it's age. This piece could be old/new stock that's not been worn or used such is the condition, a rare find indeed. Ideal for day or evening wear for the fashion savvy lady of today. The Size is for medium sized wrist .

Jakob Bengel was a chain and costume jewellery factory, founded by Jakob Bengel in 1873 in Idar-Oberstein, Germany. Until 1920, the company specialised in the production of watch chains and chatelaines. In the 1920's and 1930's, it became one of the leading manufacturers of fashion jewellery in the Art Deco style.
