Description

An interesting oil on board of a Dutch tavern scene. It appears to date from the late 18th century, though it could be earlier given the back of the board. It is an oil painting onto an oak board, there are no obvious signatures or identifying marks. The painting is 30.5cm x 25cm

Condition

The condition is poor. As you can see the surface is badly crazed probably through heat, making the image difficult to see. There are a couple of very small paint losses.


This would make a fantastic decorator’s piece.
