This is a wonderful original painting in ink wash and body colour of a cat and and dog titled 'Ambush'. Painted around 1890 by E J Olpherts. Little is known about the artist, other than she worked as an illustrator for books and magazines in the 1890's.This is an original painting that would have been used as an illustration most likely for a book. It is a beautifully detailed painting by a highly proficient artist.
The painting is offered in a thin gold frame.
