Artist Biography
Dorothy Hall was a prolific illustrator of Children’s literature from the late 1930’s up to the 1970’s. She is best known for her illustrations for a number of Enid Blyton Books including ‘The Secrets of Moon Castle’. Additional to her work with Enid Blyton she illustrated a series of books for characters such as Teddy Tar and Blinky Bill. There are numerous published and unpublished books that she illustrated all of which were for children, most were old fairy tales or stories about fairies.

Painting Details
These delightful pencil drawings were preparatory illustration sketches for books (unknown) of the Little Mermaid, a Fairy and Snow White. The drawings were purchased with a number of works all of which came direct from Dorothy Hall’s Studio.The Mermaid drawing is signed.
All three drawings are housed together in a new shabby chic white frame.
