Description

A good quality Victorian figured walnut jewellery box of large size, the well chosen veneers banded in brass. Thr top has a central vacant brass cartouche.

The box opens to reveal the original Morrocan leather interior, re-lined in a black grosgrain cotton fabric and complimentary plush stone grey velvet.

The two stepped lift-out trays reveal further storage beneath, dividers missing from the larger tray. To the rear of the box a brass button releases the front drawer which has also been re-lined.

With working S.Mordan & Co patent lock & tassled key.
