Description

A fine quality Victorian burr walnut jewellery box, the edges banded in ebony. To the lid their is a central shield shaped vacant cartouche above a matching swag, the front with matching keyhole escutcheon.

The box opens to reveal the original mahogany interior, re-lined in a luxurious rich red silk velvet, the top fitted various compartments. To the rear of the box a brass button releases the front drawer and to the left a button releases the side drawer, both re-lined in silk velvet.

With working lock & tassled key.
