Description

A fine quality Victorian jewellery box by Toulmin & Gale with superb golden burr walnut veneers to all sides, edged in brass with further brass line inlays. To the top there is a central brass cartouche.

The box opens to reveal the original interior in leather re-lined with a black moire fabric and a complimentary plush stone velvet. The topsection fitted with various compartments. To the back of the box a brass button releases the front drawer, to the left another button releases the drawer to the right.

With makers brass plaque and working Bramah lock & tassled key.
