Description

A Victorian burr walnut veneered jewellery box, the top with dismond shaped abalone & mother of pearl cartouche, the front with matching keyhole escutcheon. The box edges are banded in ebony for contrast.

The box opens to reveal the original mahogany interior re-lined with a mint green cotton moire fabric and complimentary luxurious bottle green silk velvet. The lift-out tray reveals a further storage area beneath. To the rear of the box a brass button unlocks the front drawer which can then be opened using the handle. This has also been re-lined.
