Description
A decorative Rococo Revival wall mirror, dating from the 1950s. The frame is sand cast in solid brass, with sharp, crisp detailing that reflects the improved foundry techniques of the period. The surround features scrolling acanthus leaves and pierced leaf motifs, arranged in an beautiful Rococo style.The brass has developed a warm, mellowed patina, highlighting the depth of the relief. The bevelled mirror plate is clean and bright, contrasting beautifully with the richly worked frame.
