A superb mid-19th century domed jewellery or trinket box, crafted from beautifully figured burr walnut. This elegant piece features decorative brass escutcheons and hinges, including an elaborate central mount on the lid that is set with a striking polished stone.The domed top opens to reveal a lined interior, complete with its silk and velvet trim. The vibrant GRAIN of the walnut is showcased across all sides, making it a perfect example of 19th century craftmanship.
