Description

An early Georgian, probably mid 1700's elm settle.
A rare survivor of this date.
It clearly shows several stamped initials, most likely that of the maker.
The piece has had numerous repairs both historically & more recently.
Furthermore it does show signs of historic woodworm which has been treated for peace of mind.
There has been historic decay to the bottom of the styles, most likely caused by the floor conditions of the 1700- 1800's which will have often been wet!
All of that said, the piece displays beautifully.
It has some lovely colours and once located in it's new home will look quite stunning.
It is of reasonably small size which be useful for many locations.

Dimensions:
Height: 135cm
Width: 100cm
Depth: 45cm

It is totally strong and sound and will last further generations yet.
