Description

Good looking Japanese lidded pot circa Meiji period.
In the style of the original ko-Kutani porcelain vases / jars that dated from the 17th century.

The original ko-Kutani wares were made in and around Arita in Northern Kyushu.

The red enamel mark appears to be a variant of the Fuku (good luck) mark that can be found on the originals.

Excellent display with good decoration:
a running hare, a cockerel and a crane
