A late Victorian bookcase of fine quality. This is constructed in mahogany and ebony and the timber has naturally faded over the years of use to a lovely colour. Of a large size and with plenty of useful storage space. With cupboard space on the left side.

The shelves have lift-up flaps to allow the books to stay firmly in position, a sure sign of the extra quality and detail of this antique. It has been given a wax polish and carries the normal signs of age and character. There are no labels but this could well be by James Shoolbred.
