Ram's Head Key Stone

Photos

Description

ONE extremely rare, superbly hand-carved York stone ‘Ram’s Head’ with bobbin reel, which was originally an arch key stone, salvaged some 30 years ago from a fire-ravaged woollen mill in the Colne Valley area of Huddersfield. Unfortunately, details and name of the mill are unknown. This beautiful stone carving could be used in the creation of either a large stone fireplace or, for an arch garden water feature.
