Large African Benin bronze horseman statue, c1930. This is a fine well cast example, heavy (7.3kg) with good decoration and detail to the features, costume, horse etc. Cast in the traditional lost wax method the bronze has taken on great colour/patina following years of handling. Overall condition is good with no obvious defects.
