Description

Interesting late 19th century Oceanic throwing club,c1890. Most probably from the Solomon Islands it is primitively carved with the club head fashioned with protruding fins. The shaft is of simple plain design . The club is a good weight, well balanced in the hand and has taken on great colour/patina following years of handling and use. Overall condition is good ,there are minor signs of wear/use with very small chips/marks, as you would expect from an old example.
