Description
Large and unusual 19th century Indo-Persian bronze plaque, c1870. Stylistically you can see the Murghal (Islamic and Indian) influences . It is well cast and heavy at 3.2kg and beautifully decorated. The central motif depicts a couple sat on an ornate bench in a garden, presumably it is a romantic scene/form of courtship. It has acquired great colour/patina and will display well in a variety of settings. Overall condition is good with only very minor surface wear/rubbing/Verdigris.
