Description

Fine quality early 20th Century African Benin tribal bronze ceremonial vessel in the form of a horse, c1940.

Cast in the traditional lost wax method, this is an unusual and rare subject. The casting is of very good quality, with nice detailing. It has great colour/patination, consistent with its age and use, and is an interesting and decorative tribal piece.
