Well composed antique 19th Century framed miniature portrait of youth in 17th Century dress, c1870.

It is nicely composed (oil on wood panel), crisp and presented in a lovely gilt/gesso frame. Although the subject matter is obviously earlier it looks to be a later antique composition.
