Description

Pair of large original antique Bibendum Michelin man figures in seated/reclining pose, c 1950. These are iconic advertising figures which would have sat on a van/lorry or displayed in a garage or workshop. I purchased them in the Netherlands where they were salvaged from an old garage workshop which was about to be demolished. It is unusual to find a true pair. They still have the original fixing holes to the base and the paintwork looks to be original as well. Both have aged well and overall condition is good with only minor surface wear/marks/paint loss etc in line with age and use.
