Description

A rare 19th Century African pottery fetish pig, c1890. This is a genuine African antique, most probably from the Congo. It is naively modelled/cast, with great paint and applied human or animal hair. The paintwork, etc., has just the right amount of 'distress'.

This is one of the best fetish pieces we have seen in 30 years of collecting. It is in good original condition and has aged well, with good colour/patina. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact us with any questions or if you would like to view the item.
