Description

Five fantastic antique blackboard coloured diagrams as detailed below:

- the general anatomy and life history of an amoeba.
- the external features and reproduction of an earthworm.
- the general dissection and nervous system of an earthworm.
- the arterial and venous systems of a frog.
- the general anatomy and life history of a protozoan, single
celled organism.

Circa 1930s from The Biological Laboratory at Oundle School in North Hamptonshire. W.J.Batt was a biological curator at the Oundle school from 1925 and later a biological demonstrator. He assisted in annual biological expeditions and gave a talk to the Natural History Society in 1932 on the colouration of living organisms. Part of The Biological Series, published by Sidgwick & Jackson Ltd Publishers, London.

The diagrams are 108cm long and 77cm wide. The diagrams have brass ring inserts for hanging and are backed with muslin.

They have marks and wear commensurate with their age and previous use as indicated in the photographs.
