A Tunbridge Ware cotton reel / spool. c 1840

Description
An inlaid Tunbridge Ware cotton reel made of rosewood with a Tunbridge inlaid top. c 1840The base and waisted spindle are of rosewood and the discs that form the top and base are turned with a groove on the edge as they should be.
3.5cm in height
2.5cm in diameter at the top and bottom.
In excellent condition- no damage but some deterioration of the original varnished finish also a small slanting nick out of the edge of the base probably deliberately made by the original owner to hold the end of the thread.
