A good early 20th century all woollen south caucasian weaving featuring downward rows of bird and two headed dog motifs on this claret/dark burgundy ground colour. Interesting limey green/yellow colour inner border with a star rosette main border on an ivory ground. Benefits from its original wool knotted fringes and notice the herringbone weave to both ends just above the fringes,all imaged. Has been hand washed,de-dusted,ready to lay. All over low even pile. Side cords double bound in light blue wool. Full wool fringes. Very minor small hole to ivory coloured border,imaged both sides. Size is 6 foot 11 inches by 4 foot 2 inches. 210cm by 127cm.
