Description

A WWII four drawer leather clad tapered barrel telescope engraved the “ The Ideal”, JH Steward ltd of London with stamped military crows foot. Good sharp image With 25, 30, 35 and 40 magnification. All lenses are in good undamaged condition. The leather work of the case and scope is in fine order including the end cap. The eye piece has an integral flick over cover. The tubes are dent free and have a smooth drawer action. Tubes unpolished. The end drawer is anodised dark brass. It is believed that this scope was used for artillery spotting or sniping, hence its dark non-reflective appearance.
