324 pages, new revised updated edition by the son, with new colour illustrations by Harry Furniss. 10 full page plates and 20 line drawings. with new preface dated20 July 1887. Beautiful heavily embossed blue cloth , with gilt designs to cover and spine. original charcoal colour endpapers, minor spotting, very light at prelims, otherwise a near FINE copy. Octavo. This classic work on the more ridiculous and humorous side of the British LEGAL system reprinted here after a 40 year gap. The writer was a London Barrister as was his father who wrote the original in 1846. This looks almost like a new book.
