Mid 17th century armour(back plate) Quite light weight at a fraction over 2-lbs, may have been worn by a teenage recruit?
There is an oval Armoury mark to the centre of the neck but no longer readable.The piece has been adapted over it's life with more than the normal amount of holes evident no doubt to take other breast plates.
Wonderful piece of history and a great display piece. Size 37.5cm high x 52cm across at its widest points.
