Here we have an outstanding Victorian Tunbridge Ware writing slope or box c1860. As you can see the box has great colour and patina. The quality of the inlay leads us to believe this to be one of the best Tunbridge Ware makers and the quality of the box over all including a Tulip wood interior would also suggest this. There is inlaid Mother of Pearl to the escutcheon and the vacant cartouche to the top. There is an original inkwell to the interior. A fine box of compact proportions in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 12 inches wide 9 deep and 6 high.
