Here we have a wonderful Charles II Oak Bible or deed box c1680. As you can see the box has the most delicious colour and patina. There is a two plank top with a thumb moulded edge. Internally there are hand forged strapped hinges. The box is constructed with hand made Rose head nails. The front of the box has the original lock plate and the initials R B in a beautiful font. A superb original box with outstanding colour and patina in excellent retail condition ready for your collection. The dimensions are approx 80 cm wide 40 cm deep 28 cm high.
