Here we have a stunning 18th century solid Walnut French bureau c1740. As you can see the bureau has outstanding colour and patina. There is a solid Walnut fall front with a moulded edge, well shaped base and original brass escutcheon and original working Iron lock and original key. The fall front opens to reveal a fitted interior with two drawers. The drawers have and cut dovetail joints and the original brass handle. The bureau has a wonderful serpentine front and three long drawers. The solid Walnut drawers have super chunky hand cut dovetail joints and original iron locks and stunning brass fancy handles. The sides are panelled and also house a secret drawer to each side found in the bottom panel and accessed from inside held with a brass pin. The whole sits on the orginal scrolled bracket feet. A super practical but also fantastic ppiece of interior design in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 104 cm high 125 cm wide 60 cm deep.
