Description
An Arts & Crafts Sweet Chestnut Wardrobe, model '372', designed by Ambrose Heal for Heal & sons c.1903. This is in fact a rare variation of the '372' wardrobe with the exposed dovetail decoration to the the door panels as seen on the '428' wardrobe. Heal's were well known for offering bespoke variations to their established designs by special commission. The wardrobe has turnbuckle latches to the doors and recessed, 'squashed heart' handles to the drawer.Shown prior to restoration. This wardrobe will be offered fully restored and refinished.
