An impressive and beautifully finished antique Edwardian, fully panelled, solid medium Oak, S Tambour Roll Top Desk.
The top writing section has a good, smooth running lockable tambour, with an array of pigeon holes, letter slots, shelves and customisable drawers set within. The internal writing surface is large enough to take a large laptop (the one in the photo is 17")
Below the top section are 2 solid pedestals with a total of 8 good sized (23" Deep), free running drawers, all lockable when the top tambour is locked, via a rear automatic latch mechanism. The central knee-hole drawer is always accessible. Between the top section and pedestals are 2 pull out leaves for extra surface space.
An attractive large and characterful, statement piece item of furniture for a home office. Having a clean panelled back, the desk would suit an open plan aspect.
