Description
A charming and simple early 18th Century English Oak 6 plank coffer. Circa 1700.This piece is small but packed with character, and has been converted latterly to open with a fall front as opposed to the top panel hinging up and down, in the tradition sense. The remainder of the original hinges are still intact at the rear of the coffer, meaning it can be reversed and opened as originally intended.
The front elevation features a simple repeated geometric pattern and the piece sits over simple scroll edged bracket style legs.
