Description
A splendid William IV Gentleman's Mahogany Wellington Chest. Circa 1835.This very handsome upright chest features 10 pull out drawers, each bearing 2 mahogany handles of simple bun form. A locking pilaster sits either side of the drawers and works with a simple turn key mechanism on the right, and a simple bolt lock, top and bottom, on the left.
The piece is sat over a squared plinth base and has wonderful patination in line with its age. an ideal addition to a bedroom, or study.
