Antique Gillows Open Armchair, circa 1850. A beautifully designed and comfortable antique upholstered armchair, stamped 'Gillow, 9389'. Turned and fluted front legs are mirrored by the arm supports, with buttoning and scrolled back. All show wood is mahogany, frame and upholstery feel sturdy with signs of some historic worm to the front right leg.

Very well made quality throughout, original brass castors, matched with the style and character of one of the very best British furniture makers, making this a truly special armchair.
