Description

A mid 18th cent.oak small longcase clock.11" square brass dial with cast spandrels.Single hand.30 hour movement striking the hours on a bell. Original oak case of excellent proportians.
The dial signed H. Deeme Honiton.Deeme is recorded as working in mid 18th cent.Also recorded as marrying one Sarah Blew on Sept. 13th 1756.
He maintained the church clock at Kentisbeare from1762-1780.
He died in 1786.
Several of his clocks and watches are in museums e.g.Exeter,Liverpool, Totnes.

Keeps very good time and is in very original good order
