Capt. Faulknor 1763-1795 managed to storm and take Fort Royal in the sloop HMS Zebra of only 16 guns.Clearly a man of great courage as other much larger ships had turned away.
He died in action Gaudeloupe.
There is a memorial to him in St Pauls Cathedral.
Condition.Has been trimmed all round including publication date. Crease top right.
