Mezzotint portrait of Admiral John Jervis first Earl of St Vincent 1735-1823.He saw action in American War of Independence,French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars.He is best known for his great victory at the Battle of St Vincent in 1797 which gave him his title.Important patron of Nelson.
Great administrator and naval reformer.
