Description

An early nineteenth century country made elow chair of ash,elm,yew,beech and pinewood.Probably from the Thames Valley.
It is possible that this chair was originally stained all over black which would account for the different types of wood used.
Legs have probably been re-tipped which is very common.
A very charming chair in sound order.

Accross arms 20"
Floor to seat rail 17"
There are some gouges in the arm support(see photo).No idea why.
