Very attractive pair of 19th century Italian Neapolitan Grand Tour romantic Day and Night watercolours of the Bay of Naples with the volcano Versuvius erupting in the manner of Camillo De Vito. Good examples well painted probably commemorating the eruption of 1848. Presented in their original mahogany, or rosewood, and gilt frames. Beautiful, evocative examples of scenic views much prized by Grand Tourists as reminders of this stunning coastline. Italian, circa 1850.Frame:H 34cm x W 41.5cm x D 5cm
