Rare French 19th century white marble bas-relief profile portrait plaque of the Emperor Napoleon. Nicely carved portrait of Napoleon in military uniform very similar to official portraits of Napoleon struck on commemorative medals towards the end of the Empire period by Depaulis (see Bramson 1323 The Battle of Wurtchen). Nicely mellowed white marble plaque presented in its original reeded wooden frame with a hanging loop.D 20.75cm x D 3.5cm
