Just purchased from a local Perthshire estate is this superb quality Edwardian period Sterling silver and cut glass claret jug by JAMES DEAKIN & SONS of Sheffield. Lovely tall shape with beautiful cutting to the glass, star cut base also. All the top, lid and handle are all Sterling silver and hallmarked for SHEFFIELD 1908. The claret jug is in excellent condition with no damage, repairs or chips. There is a very minor spring to the hinge but this is being very picky.SIZE 4" diameter at the base by 12" high
